MTA Opening of the Red Line to North Hollywood

and Related Service Improvements

The final leg of the MTA’s Red Line between Downtown Los Angeles and North Hollywood will open on June 24th.  Three new stations, Hollywood and Highland, Universal City, and North Hollywood will be included in the six‑mile extension.  Come and hear this fascinating presentation on the completion of the Metro Rail system, its connection to the other light rail lines, and Metrolink.  Joint development projects at the station sites and feeder services such as MTA’s new rapid bus will be presented as well.  Take a sneak peak at the new stations via a video tour and see how the new Metro Rapid Buses use advanced technology to speed travel time.

Speaker:
Marc Littman, MTA Director of Public Affairs.  Mr. Littman is responsible for media and employee communications and the MTA Speakers’ Bureau.  He has chronicled the subway’s progress from the start of downtown construction to the completion of the North Hollywood extension.
