Preserving Los Angeles:A Conversation with Ken Bernstein
Saturday, June 26, 2021
10:00 AM to 11:30 AM via Zoom
Under planner Ken Bernstein’s leadership, the City of Los Angeles has developed one of the most successful historic preservation programs in the nation. In his new book, Preserving Los Angeles, he showcases the City as a model, demonstrating how preservation can revitalize neighborhoods, create a Downtown renaissance, and build community. With over 300 full-color images by prominent architectural photographer Stephen Schafer, the book highlights interesting discoveries from SurveyLA, the citywide historic resources survey, and is a field guide to historic exploration in every Los Angeles community. Come join us for a discussion with Ken Bernstein to learn about how historic places can transform America’s cities.
